Welcome New Chesterfield Charger Families!! We are so excited you are at our school! We are one big CES Family, and the PTO is here for you!
The first thing we need you to do – is to create your Membership Toolkit account at https://chesterfield.membershiptoolkit.com/!
See the “How to sign up for MTK flyer” that will walk you through the steps, you can download it here! This is super important – as this is the tool that the PTO uses for communications and purchases!
Make sure to download the Membership Toolkit app for your phone. With the app you will easily be able to access the Buzz Book online (after purchase). Search for Membership toolkit in the Apple app store or Google Play store.

Charger Fund – The annual fundraising campaign at CES
The annual PTO fundraiser is called the Charger Fund and it’s how we fund the PTO budget. The Charger Fund allows us to support the students and staff with programs needed for the school year, bridging the gap between the school budget and the programs CES provides throughout the year! Donations are 100% tax-deductible.
This big fundraising push is in lieu of individual fundraisers like selling candy or wrapping paper. It is voluntary and we usually suggest a $100 donation per child, in order to fund the school year budget. The Charger Fund drive runs from the beginning of the school for 4 or 5 weeks. Donations are taken through the form on the MTK site (via Paypal) and through checks sent to the CES office.

The Buzz Book
The Buzz Book is the Chesterfield Elementary directory. We sell digital access and hard copies ($10 for digital access and 1 hard copy – additional hard copies are $6) of the Buzz Book at the beginning of the year. Hard copies are printed and distributed via your student in October. The digital buzz book is on our MTK site https://chesterfield.membershiptoolkit.com/directory
The form for purchase is available at the beginning of the year – if you are joining us mid-year and would like access, please email the PTO at chesterfieldchargerspto@gmail.com.
CES Spirit Wear
Every year we create a unique set of spirit wear for CES. The design is presented at the beginning of the year and sales are open for typically 2 weeks through an online site. All orders are usually available for pick up at the school in October. We will announce when spirit wear is available to purchase. Go to the Fundraising page for current information about Spirit Wear!
CES PTO Facebook page
Join us on Facebook! Click here to find CES - PTO and join our group. We will be sharing the latest CES event information. You will need to answer the security questions and we will let you into the private group. It’s a great way to keep up with everything happening at CES.
Volunteer Opportunities
There are several volunteer opportunities for parents at CES! You can put your name on our master volunteer list – via the MTK form. We will email this list when there are volunteers needed.
You can also sign up to be a room parent – this is also done at the beginning of the year. The room parents are responsible for planning the class parties and organizing class teacher gifts, as well as helping the teacher as needed.

And of course – you can volunteer to be on the PTO Executive Board! Every year we have 2 or 3 positions open. Most positions require a 2-year commitment. You can read more about the board positions here: https://chesterfield.membershiptoolkit.com/ptoboardpositions
Everyone who wants to volunteer will need to attend volunteer training – this is typically held at the beginning of the year. Please contact Vice Principal Dr. Rose (rosetheresa@rsdmo.org) for a copy of the training if you are coming in mid-year.
Parents of 5th Graders
We celebrate our 5th grader's graduation from elementary school with a graduation ceremony and fun outing for the kids. Details are sent out to parents at the beginning of the year and a fee is collected to fund the activities. If your 5th grader is joining us mid-year, reach out to the CES office and they will put you in touch with the 5th-grade graduation committee chairs.
